Threadborn Succession

Threadborn Succession, Book Two in the Threadborn Echo Trilogy, is officially in first draft. My editor, Tina Beier, will begin work in mid‑August 2026, and I am excited that Casey Wayne will once again narrate the audiobook.

Of all the writing I have done in my life, from grade school through college and into this trilogy, this feels like my best work so far. Dictating with Wispr Flow and using a handful of carefully chosen tools for early edits helped me stay in the flow long enough to beat my original timeline.

The paperback and Kindle editions are now available for pre‑order on Amazon: Pre‑Order Threadborn Succession. The target release date for Kindle and paperback is September 7, 2026 with the audiobook to follow a few weeks later.

In Book Two, we stay with Dan and his family as their choices echo across the next 35 years, while Natalie Kim continues her work 300 years in the future. The returning characters grow in ways I did not fully expect when I started this trilogy, and several new characters step into the story. I worked hard to carry forward the threads from Book One in a believable, compelling way so the world feels larger and more connected without losing its focus on the people at its center.

As a new fiction author, I keep wondering how the release of Book Two will shape the visibility of the trilogy and whether these stories will leave readers wanting to stay in this world a little longer. Writing has been an amazing escape. When I began ponderng how I would slowly step away from over 30 years in the day‑to‑day technology world, I did not have a clear plan for what would come next. Now I am certain how I want to spend most of my time. Even if Book One had never sold a single copy, this process would still have been worth every minute.

The path has not been simple. New authors see more than their share of scams and automated games in today’s online world. Even so, I keep learning and moving to the next milestone, trying to set the bar a little higher for myself with every sentence, paragraph, and chapter. I keep telling myself I will take a few weeks off before letting Book Three find the page. Who am I kidding. In the meantime, I am working through self‑publishing details for Book Two, edits, interior files, cover art, keywords, pricing, and ISBNs, with more knowledge and confidence than I had the first time.
